Jesus is the Gospel
The gospel is essentially the announcement about what God has done for us in/through Jesus Christ. And it is not simply the way into the Christian life. The gospel is not just the A-B-C’s of Christianity, but it is the A to Z of Christianity.
Vision Sunday - Pruning for Fruitfulness
We explore the phrase 'pruning for fruitfulness' with biblical and real life stories and how we can expect God to bring greater future fruitfulness for us personally and as a church family.
Reflections - A Year In Review 2021
Our first service of the year reflects on the year just gone. Our elders spend some time talking through their highlights and challenges we've faced as a church this year, as well as speaking to various aspects of our church life.
Evening Carols - Good News of Great Joy
Come and celebrate the Good news story of Christmas with us! Good news that, as the angels said to the shepherds, can cause ‘great joy for all people.’
The Great Commission
Why should we engage in mission? Because Jesus has instructed us to go and make disciples of all nations.
The Beauty of God
God has made a way for us to enjoy him, the greatest, most beautiful treasure. Salvation is not only a wiping clean of our past, but a future in which we are fully satisfied in God.
Heaven and Hell
The reality of heaven is glorious beyond imagining; the reality of hell is ghastly beyond imagining. Why mission? Because everyone’s eternal destiny at stake?
Youth Takeover
The young people of Citygate church help us to focus on Kingdom Kindness and the fact that we're motivated by God's extravagant love he has towards us.
The Glory of God
Everything and everyone exists for God’s glory - to proclaim his greatness. It is therefore true that one reason for mission is the glory of God.
What is the Good News?
The gospel is not just the starting message of the Christian faith, though; it is the whole message. All the blessings that come to us are the result of what God has done for us in Jesus Christ.
Jesus, Full of the Spirit
We focus on Jesus as the fulfilment of Old Testament promises, the pioneer of the new covenant and our model of a Spirit-filled life.
Vision Sunday - Restoring the Broken
We look back at this year. This world has gone through some challenging times, but we want to be the hope to restore all that is broken through the Good News.
The Pharisee & The Tax Collector
In the parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector Jesus contrasts the attitude of a self-righteous Pharisee with a tax collector who humbly asks for mercy.
The Shrewd Manager
Jesus challenges us on the subject of money through a parable. He wants to teach how his followers need to use their finance, as God has given us everything.
