Citygate Kids is here to plant seeds of faith.
We not only help children understand God’s great story in the Bible - but what this means for their everyday life.
We love having fun, playing games and doing crafts, but we’re also not afraid to encourage children to ask big questions about life, understand spiritual gifts and worship God beyond singing and dancing.
Our Sunday kids groups
Our kids groups meet each Sunday during our morning meetings. Each kids group reflects the stage of spiritual growth we hope children will enjoy as they get to know Jesus through the work at Citygate Kids.
The age groups below reflect our Citygate Bournemouth site. As the kids ministry in Southbourne is new, and the site smaller, we currently have one group for all kids aged 0-11 years. We hope to build upon this and open more age specific groups as more families regularly attend Southbourne.

Super Seedlings
Age 0 - 2
Helping to plant seeds of faith in our little ones and laying foundations for an inspiring friendship with Jesus.

Curious Shoots
Age 3 - Reception
Supporting kids as they and discover that our all powerful and loving God wants to be their friend, and as they start to explore relationship with Him.

Fearless Roots
School years 1 - 3
Helping kids to develop a friendship with Jesus that has strong roots, and that they want to start to share with others!

Adventurous Vines
School years 4 - 6
Supporting kids as their friendship with Jesus begins to mature, and they look forward to a life full of adventure with Him!
What we teach
Because children need help understanding that the Bible is one story with Jesus as the hero, we follow the the Gospel Story Curriculum which teaches children the key stories from Bible that highlight God’s plan of redemption.
During the week
We have a couple of preschool kids groups that meet during the week. They aim to build community and share the love of God with those outside of Citygate Church. Both groups are £1 per family.

Little Acorns
Little Acorns Parents and Toddlers Group is for under 3 year olds.
Thursdays, 3.00-4.30pm

A safe place for children to grow in their social skills and parents and carers to build community.

Truth Be Told
Truth Be Told is for toddlers, preschool children and older adults.
Wednesdays, 10:30-11:45am

An intergenerational and missional storytelling, singing and community building group.
Our Kids team
We have a passionate team of DBS checked volunteers who will do their best to make your kids’ experience of Citygate Kids exciting, safe, age appropriate and centred on God!

Citygate Youth exists to see a Kingdom Generation built in BCP. We aim to help young people know that they belong and that God is interested in them!

We’d love to welcome you to one of our Sundays, either ONSITE or LIVE ONLINE. We try to make them as friendly and accessible as possible!

Our ministries
One of the best ways of showing God's love for us, is to reflect that love with those around us. We do this through our church ministries. There may be something that inspires you!
