We help children understand the Gospel and what this means for their everyday life.

We love having fun, playing games and doing crafts, but we’re also not afraid to encourage children to ask big questions about life, understand spiritual gifts, and worship God beyond singing and dancing.

Our Sunday kids groups

Our kids groups meet each Sunday during our morning meetings. Each kids group reflects the stage of spiritual growth we hope children will enjoy as they get to know Jesus through the work at Citygate Kids. The age groups below reflect our Citygate Bournemouth site. As the kids ministry in Southbourne is new, and the site smaller, we currently have one group for all kids aged 0-11 years. We hope to build upon this and open more age specific groups as more families regularly attend Southbourne.

Safeguarding is a priority at Citygate

We ensure that ever volunteer who serves goes through a rigorous safer recruitment process which includes a DBS check, and interview, and provision of character references. They are also required to complete safeguarding training every 2 years.

We run a secure safeguarding wing on a Sunday morning. Only those who are DBS checked and parents/carers can enter our kids work area.

At Citygate, we aim to be a place that everyone can call home. In our Kids ministry, this is no different, and we love to work with families to support them and their children in coming to our groups. 

We believe the best way to do this is by starting a conversation, so please contact kids@citygate.church to talk about how we can help your child specifically to access the gospel and feel welcome.

During the week

We have a couple of preschool kids groups that meet during the week. They aim to build community and share the love of God with those outside of Citygate Church.

    Little Acorns Parents and Toddlers Group is for under 3 year olds.

    Temporarily paused, hoping to be back up in January.

    A safe place for children to grow in their social skills and parents and carers to build community.
