Life groups
We want everyone who comes to our church to find friendship and grow in their love of God and His people. So we encourage every person who’s part of Citygate to join one of our Life Groups!
Why are Life Groups important?
We share our lives so we know each other’s stories, our struggles, and can help each other walk in faith and obedience.
We talk about God’s Word, pray together, and support each other. We also ask each group to encourage each other to be a blessing, and to specifically bless a place or a people each term.
We are on a journey in Citygate for our groups to be both the place we become more like Jesus and the place others can get to know him through us.
Life in Jesus
All we do is rooted in Jesus as Lord and Saviour, the focal point of the Christian faith. Our God-given goal is to make disciples - people following after Jesus - who themselves then go and make disciples.
Life in community
Making disciples requires the collective input, encouragement, gifting, and example of a whole group of people. It can’t just be one-on-one. We need the body – our family of believers.
Life on mission
Making disciples draws us into the mission of sharing the gospel with our friends, neighbours and families. Our communities live outwardly, seeking to make the gospel clear through our words and actions to others.

Serving
Here at Citygate, there are many ministries and teams that could help you grow spiritually, while applying and developing your own gifts and talents alongside others. It’s also a great way to make new friends!

DNA Groups
DNA groups are small, bible based, single-sex groups who meet regularly to encourage each other to grow as disciples of Jesus and as disciple-making disciples.

Students
Our student life group meets every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm. We’re here to help you grow as disciples of Jesus and encourage you to take the next steps in your faith - wherever you’re at on your journey!
