Being a witness is living a Spirit-saturated life in the world that demonstrates to all that we have encountered the risen Jesus and are submitting all to Him.

Jesus told his first followers: "Go and make disciples of all nations." It's a clear and concise statement calling them to make him known to others.

Disciples take personal responsibility, under their teacher’s instruction, for their own growth and for doing life together as a community of disciples.

The image of the church as a body is a theological fact. Though we are a diverse group of people, each playing our unique part, we are essentially a unity.

Our unity in practice comes out of the fact that we are already united in Christ - unity is a fact before it is a feeling. But what does unity look like?

In the bible the temple was the place where God manifested his presence. Then Jesus was the new temple. Now God dwells in the church, and each believer.

For all the individualism in UK culture, and the way church has developed online, we are built for community. God is looking for a people to be glorified in and it’s in the church that people will see what community can truly look like.

Because God is our Father, all His children are siblings in his family. Jesus, the perfect Son, is the way we enter the family and the model for relationships in the family. So what does it mean, in practice, to be family?

The Bible’s story can be described in many ways; one of which is as the story of God creating a people for himself. From Adam & Eve, through Abraham, Exodus and the gospels to the picture of Revelation 21:3: “They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.”
