Truth Be Told

What is Truth Be Told?

Truth Be Told (TBT) are intergenerational, international and missional storytelling and

song groups for older adults, ‘aunts’ and families/carers with toddlers and preschool

children.

What does a session look like?

The Storyteller leads everyone in some nursery rhymes and tells an interactive story using a beautiful bag covered in pockets with hidden props and ensures all ages can be involved.

The sessions have Christian roots and references but are enjoyable for those of any faith - or none - and will last about 45 minutes to an hour. After the session in the care home there will be tea, coffee, biscuits and a chance to chat!

Through bible storytelling and building relationships with each other, our heart is to create a community where all can belong and hear about God.

When and where is Truth Be Told held?

Truth Be Told is held fortnightly on Mondays, 10:30-11:45am at Avon Cliff Care Home, 50 - 52 Christchurch Rd, Bournemouth BH1 3PE.

We also run a group for those who are learning English on Tuesdays, 11:30am-12:30pm at Citygate Centre, Bournemouth, BH8 8AS. Whilst aimed at those for whom English is not their first language, this group is also open to all.

Please email truthbetold@citygate.church for more information.

Do I need to book? Can I bring a friend?

It is preferable if you book using the button at the bottom of this page, or email truthbetold@citygate.church so you know when the sessions are running - and of course you can bring a friend!

How much does it cost?

It's £1 per family or older adult.

All the money goes to running these gatherings each week.

How can I sign up to come along?

Drop an email to truthbetold@citygate.church and our Storyteller will help you get signed up.
