Commission Festival

22-26 August 2024, Bath and West Showground

Hundreds of Commission churches camp together, to worship, learn and love.

Three aims of Commission Festival

For children and youth to learn to follow Jesus, be filled with the Holy Spirit and grasp God’s big plan for their lives.

For individuals and churches to spend time together as friends and family, to eat and to gather for those important God moments.

It is about Christ’s great mission, to be equipped by teaching, released in gifting and empowered to share the love of Jesus.

Financial assistance

We believe that we can best express our love through community. We want to encourage and empower our church to reach out as individuals, families and small groups to those that are closest to them first.

  • If you have a friend within Citygate, or are part of a Life Group or ministry, please let them know that you would like some help getting to the festival.

  • If you need further help, we could discuss some other options including financial assistance. Please note that our budget is limited and we will consider applications on a case-by-case basis.

When applying for assistance, you should mention a Life Group or ministry leader who knows your situation and will support your application.

  • Citygate will consider paying up to the full cost of your ticket prior to the first price break. Applicants who request support after the price break will be expected to pay the difference.

  • Once you have spoken to a leader about your situation, please ‘sign-up’ to the Festival Assistance fund. The form can only be submitted with a ‘commitment fee’ of £10 per adult. This fee will be refunded in full if your application is not accepted.

The fund will close seven days before each price break to make sure that there is enough time to book you in. It will close when funds have been exhausted.

Sign up to the Festival Assistance Fund.

  • If you are DNA-ing, Life Grouping or otherwise doing community with anyone who needs help getting to Commission Festival, please start with whatever they need to pay for tickets, arrange transport, sort camping equipment and so on.

If you still have more to give, we have a Festival Assistance Fund that you can give into to help others to come and enjoy the full experience who otherwise might not.

You can give by standing order:
