New here?

Welcome to Citygate! We recognise that we’re all at different stages of our journey, and the next step looks different for everyone. So we invite you to journey with us at your own pace and at a level that is comfortable for you. Below are some of the different ways that you can get connected with our church.

    Sundays

We make our Sunday meetings as friendly and accessible as possible, and if you need help with anything at all you can ask one of our Welcome Team!

  • Citygate Church Connect Cards and pens.

    Connect Card

If it’s your first time attending a Sunday you’ll receive a Welcome Bag which contains a Connect Card for you to fill in to help us get to know you. Hand this card in at the Connect Box at the back of our halls or give it to one of our Welcome Team.

  • A group of people sitting around a table enjoying the Citygate Church Welcome Lunch.

    Welcome Lunch

Our Welcome Lunches happen regularly after our Sunday morning meetings and are a great opportunity to get connected and meet some of our leaders and members! Lunch is provided free of charge and children are welcome.

  • Young woman listening to the Citygate Church Rooted Course.

    Rooted Course

The Rooted Course explains our vision and the values that shape who we are as a church and gives you the opportunity to assess whether God’s plan for you is to become a part of His family here at Citygate.

  • Group of young people in discussion around a table at the Citygate Church Alpha Course.

    Alpha Course

Alpha is a series exploring the Christian faith. Each week we enjoy food together, watch a short film about a big faith question and discuss it in small groups. Everyone is welcome to come and find out more, say what they think and ask anything.

  • Two young men hugging each other in a baptism pool after one has been baptised.

    Baptism

Baptism is an important step on the road of following Jesus, it’s a public declaration of your commitment to live for Him! If you’re a new Christian, or not been baptised as an adult, this may be the next step for you.

  • Citygate Church Life Group enjoying a picnic in Bournemouth Gardens.

    Life Groups

We want everyone who comes to our church to find friendship and grow in their love of God and the people around them. In our Life Groups we talk about God’s Word, pray together, and support each other!

  • Three young ladies laughing and hugging on a Sunday morning at Citygate Church.

    DNA Groups

DNA groups are small, single-sex groups who meet regularly to explore the bible, apply it to their lives and encourage each other to grow as followers of Jesus.

  • Volunteer handing out children's activity packs on a Sunday morning.

    Serving

One of the ways that we honour and worship Jesus is to use the gifts he has given to us in service to others. Here at Citygate there are many ministries and teams that could help you grow spiritually, while applying and developing your own gifts.

  • Two women chatting in a park, one has a buggy.

    Our vision

Our vision is to see lives transformed, every day, across the bay. We are transformed by His grace, to bring his kingdom transformation to the lives around us.
