Christmas Hamper Appeal
What’s the Christmas Hamper Appeal?
The Christmas Hamper Appeal is proudly run in partnership with Bournemouth Foodbank and other local agencies.
Every year, we distribute 200 hampers to families facing crisis during the Christmas season. These hampers contain everything a family needs to enjoy and celebrate three days together, including fresh and frozen food, festive treats, and a message of hope from the Bible.
In total, over 6 tonnes of food are delivered to support as many as 1,000 people in need. This remarkable effort is made possible by the unwavering support of local churches, businesses, and community groups. It’s truly a testament to the power of our community coming together!

How can I get involved?
There are lots of ways that you can get involved with our annual hamper project:
1. Sponsor a hamper
Anyone can support the Foodbank's ongoing work to end poverty and hunger in Bournemouth by sponsoring a hamper for £20.
2. Partner with us
We are always looking to partner with other local churches, businesses, charities and community groups as well as local government and healthcare providers. As a partner you might like to nominate families, pledge food, recruit drivers or sponsor hampers!
3. Deliver hope
We need as many as 70 drivers and their vehicles to deliver Christmas hampers to the front door of families in crisis.
4. Join the team
It takes a large team to coordinate the delivery of 200 hampers! Find out how you might be able to play your part.
