Citygate Bournemouth meets every Sunday:

9am & 11am

138a Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth, BH8 8AS

We don't know what your experience of church has been previously, if any at all, but we do know that it can be quite daunting trying something new for the first time.

We make our Sunday meetings as friendly and accessible as possible, and if you need help with anything at all you can ask one of our Welcome Team wearing blue jumpers.

We also broadcast our Bournemouth Sunday meetings online.

The Citygate Churches worship choir, dressed in brightly colored tops, jump and sing passionately on stage.
A young girl in a floral dress smiles while sitting on the floor with other children and a woman in a yellow shirt who is engaging with them, possibly in a classroom or group setting.

  • A smiling musician wearing a colorful striped sweater plays an acoustic guitar and sings into a microphone on a warmly lit stage.

    Worship

Our meetings start with a time of singing, praising God for everything that he's done for us. We have a full live band that will lead us for around 30 minutes or so. If you're unfamiliar with Christian worship then please don't feel under any pressure to do what everyone else is doing. Feel free to sit or stand, and join in as you wish.

  • A woman with blonde hair wearing a black floral top passionately sings into a microphone during a spontaneous song.

    Spiritual Gifts

We believe that the gifts of the spirit are for today and so encourage the use of spiritual gifts from God. We often invite members of the congregation to come and share a testimony, encouragement or word they might have received from God during the week. This might not be something you are familiar with, but one of the Elders will often explain what's being shared.

  • Two young girls, one in a pink flamingo sweater and the other in a white floral dress, happily color together at a table during a children's activity.

    Talk

Every week one of the leaders of the church, or a visiting speaker, will teach from the Bible for around 30 minutes. We try to be as relevant as we can, and tend to work through a series of messages that follow a book in the Bible or a particular theme applying the Bible to our lives today.
