The strength of his words in Galatians reflects how high the stakes were. If the true gospel could not be preserved he says Christ would have died for nothing.

God’s mission will advance against all the odds and we should not wait for what might appear be more favourable circumstances. Expansion and opposition go hand in hand.

We have been sent to represent Jesus faithfully and obediently and spread the message of salvation.

The church continues the mission of Jesus - to bring light to all people, everywhere.

God’s mission is driven by His compassion and grace, therefore, we too need to be filled with these qualities as we follow His example and help others to know Him.

As Abraham’s descendents were called to be a blessing to all nations, so now, we the church, are called to be a blessing.

As we increasingly share life with people we look for opportunities, 1 Peter 3:15, to “give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.”
